Early Morning ER Realization

Standard

God must really have something GREAT in store for me because I praise him anyway amid my day thus far…
At 3 AM this morning, I awoke to severe neck and spine pain which made my throat feel like I was going to throw up- but I didn’t.
At 5 AM, it was 911 time and when one of the EMS guys helped lower me down out of the ambulance, he unfastened the strap & buckle over my legs all sloppy, wild, and wrong, then NAILED me in the shin with the big metal buckle part.
At 5:30 AM the nurse gave me a pain shot, saying “you’re gonna’ fill this poke, a quick one, and it’ll hurt a bit.” I was thinking to myself “it couldn’t be no worse than what I always feeling.” WRONG! My right arm where she gave me the shot was ACHING for 15 minutes, along with my right shin….GREAT!
After about 15-20 minutes, post shot, she came back and asked how I was doing. I told her “for the first time in my life, I finally feel balanced. Pain on the left, in the middle, and now the right- which could only mean that some day I will receive complete healing from God.”

So, count your blessings, aches & pains included- and believe!!!

My Novel Journey……..

Standard
They say “no pain, no gain,” and today was one of cruel pain yet I finished typing & editing chapter 2 of “Fish Fry.”

Fighting spinal disease pain is rough & rugged, especially when I’m unable to look down for more than 5 minutes max at a time- without experiencing serious neck and spinal pain. But, as they say in theater, “the show must go on” and I’m that determined. Facing potential paralysis is never anything to celebrate, yet I praise God anyway because I’m still creative, driven, and determined.

Never give up!
